Accessibility statement

Our commitment to keeping this site usable for everyone, what we have done, and what we know is not finished. Last updated October 2026.

Our commitment

Redd House LLC is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, magnification, speech recognition, or keyboard-only navigation. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Information about recovery housing that a disabled visitor cannot reach is information that has not been made available, and we treat a barrier on this site that way.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML with one H1 per page and no skipped heading levels
  • A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page
  • Keyboard operation throughout, including the mobile navigation menu
  • Visible focus indicators that are never removed without a replacement
  • Text alternatives for images, and decorative images and icons hidden from assistive technology
  • Color contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA for body text and interactive elements
  • Tap targets of at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels
  • Layout that reflows to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling
  • Motion reduced for visitors who ask their device for less of it

Known limitations

Inquiries are made by email, which depends on your own email client and its accessibility. If email is a barrier for you, tell us how you would prefer to be contacted and we will arrange it.

Assessment approach

We assess this site through a combination of automated checking during development and manual testing: keyboard-only navigation of every page, screen reader verification of headings, landmarks, and links, and layout testing down to a 320 pixel viewport width.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site prevents you from finding information or completing a task, we want to know. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using if you know it. We aim to acknowledge reports within two business days and to fix confirmed barriers as quickly as we can.

Reasonable accommodations

Accessibility of this website is separate from accommodations at the residence. If you need a reasonable accommodation in connection with an inquiry, an application, or a residency, contact us and ask.
